St. Mary’s Colts and Dr. Wilson Royal met to determine the who would take the bronze medal in the Boys A League. The Colts went up 28-6 in the first quarter and never looked back, winning 61-37. Seth Fandrick had 20 for the Colts, while Ethan Egart had 12 for the Royals.
St. Mary’s School hosted Notre Dame to determine the league bronze medallists. The Dawgs started slowly and were outscored 11-6 after the first quarter but stepped up their game in the second quarter and went on a 25-7 run to win the game 53-34. All Notre Dame players found the scoresheet. Wyatt Study hit for 10 points to lead the Dawgs, while Jericho Raneses had 10 for the Colts.
St. Mary’s Girls B Team hosted the Alexandra Jayhawks to play for the girls B league consolation title. Alexandra had a bye into the final round while the Colts had to beat Dr Roy Wilson Royals for the right to play the Jayhawks. The Colts led after each of the first three quarters. However, the Jayhawks were able to outscore the colts 10-2 in the fourth quarter to take the title 43-37. Emma Anhorn had 10 and Karrie Kalmring had 9 for the Jayhawks, while Becca Peters led all scorers with 14 and Trinity Shilka had 11 for the Colts. It was an entertaining game from start to finish.
The Parkside Pythons and the Crescent Heights Vikings squared off at St. Mary’s School to determine Girls B League supremacy. Parkside started strong with Janay scoring 18 of Parkside’s 21 first quarter points. Janay finished up with 22 points in the game. Crescent Heights was led by Arianna who had 8 for the Vikings. The final score was 37-14.
