Pythons Take the Boys B Volleyball Banner
Medicine Hat Christian School hosted the boys B volleyball championships. The Parkside Pythons, however, spoiled the gold medal game for the hosts with a 25-20; 20-16 win over the Warriors.
On the bronze medal side, Seven Persons Wolfpack took out Notre Dame 2-0 (25-18; 25-21).
Vikings are the Girls C Volleyball Champs
The 20-4 Crescent Heights Vikings – second place in league play – took the girls C volleyball title with a 2-0 (25-16; 25-17) win over the 21-3 and first seed, Parkside Pythons. The Vikings didn’t lose a set on their way to the title, whereas the Pythons had to take the Medicine Hat Christian Warriors to 3 sets before moving on. The Pythons took out the Warriors 2-1 (26-24; 25-27; 15-8).
In the bronze medal game, the third seed Notre Dame Dawgs defeated the Warriors 2-0 (25-17; 25-20).
Dawgs Take Girls B Volleyball Title
The Notre Dame Dawgs capped off a 29-1 season by easily beating the third seed St. Mary’s Colts in straight sets 25-6; 25-16. In the bronze medal game, the fourth seed Crescent Heights Vikings upset the second seed Irvine Tigers in three sets – 19-25; 29-27; 15-10.
Wolfpack Cap Undefeated Season with Gold Medal
The Seven Persons Wolfpack went into the MHJHAA boys A playoffs as the undisputed number one seed after going 30-0 in league play. They took the gold winning 2-0 (25-18; 25-23) over the number two seed Notre Dame Dawgs
In the bronze medal match, the third seed Vikings took the match with a 2-0 (25-18; 28-26) win over the fifth seed Wilson Royals.
